Stephanie Hicks is a Master’s Level Intern at The Refuge Center for Counseling, pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from Boise State University and is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Association for Spiritual, Ethical, and Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC).
Stephanie is passionate about supporting individuals faced with spiritual wounding and trauma, identity questions, anxiety, and life transitions. She brings a grounded, relational presence to the counseling space. With a trauma-informed lens, Stephanie integrates Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS) to create a safe and collaborative environment for teens and adults to explore, grieve, heal, and reconnect with their sense of self and personal values.
