Heather Jacobs is a Therapist at The Refuge Center who holds an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. A former Refuge Master’s Level Intern, Heather earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL. She is an active member in Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association (TLPCA), the American Counseling Association (ACA), and the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC),
Heather is a firm believer in the beauty of each person’s story and is passionate about helping clients recognize their strengths, embrace their unique journeys, and achieve their personal goals. She is dedicated to fostering growth and supporting individuals through their personal journeys. Heather works with individuals across the lifespan who are facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions. Heather utilizes a variety of evidence-based interventions including EMDR.
