Behaviors are your internal experiences turning outward.

Our feelings, thoughts, and behaviors are closely connected. Because of this, we now know that a challenge in one of these areas may lead to a challenge in another area. Therefore, it is important to examine both internal experiences (feelings and thoughts) and external behaviors.

With your Refuge therapist, you will work on identifying behavioral patterns that may no longer be serving you. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) are forms of therapy that can help accomplish this.

The goal of counseling through Behavioral Issues to build healthier emotional, cognitive, and behavioral patterns so you can feel more balanced, intentional, and aligned between your inner and outer experiences.

Ultimately, the goal is to help you develop healthier ways of relating to others, fostering more stable and fulfilling relationships. An attachment theory trained therapist will provide a focused exploration of how early life experiences and relationships impact your current ability to form and maintain healthy connections with others.

Work toward a cohesive, healthy internal and external self.
